Edtech 502: The Internet for Educators

This is the second class of my coursework for the EDTECH program. Edtech 502 is a course designed to introduce website and course creation online using Adobe Dreamweaver and a combination of other software in conjunction with HTML/XHTML code.

The Course Objectives are:

  1. Create Web pages using HTML authorizing system
  2. Develop Web pages using CSS templates
  3. Create a default page for a website
  4. Apply file management skills to maintain local and remote Web site files and folders
  5. Write HTML, XHTML, and CSS code correctly so that it validates under W3C standards
  6. Copy and paste a code into a Web page
  7. Write CSS to position Web page content
  8. Write and apply an external CSS style sheet to multiple Web pages
  9. Write and apply alternative style sheets
  10. Create a navigation menu for multiple Web pages
  11. Create graphics in the appropriate format for Web pages
  12. Modify images using image editing software
  13. Insert images correctly into Web pages
  14. Create client-side image maps
  15. Apply appropriate design principles to create professional looking websites
  16. Create accessible Web pages for individual with disabilities
  17. Adhere to rules of netiquette when corresponding with other on the Internet
  18. Identify and apply copyright and fair use guidelines for website development
  19. Use Internet search tools to locate high quality instructional content
  20. Develop appropriate rules of netiquette for a specified group of learners
  21. Develop a page of hot links to essential information about Web accessibility
  22. Develop an Internet scavenger hunt learning activity that integrates Internet resources
  23. Develop an online learning activity for mobile devices
  24. Develop a WebQuest learning activity that integrates Internet resources
  25. Develop a virtual field trip learning activity that integrates multimedia and Internet resources

I’m a little nervous about this class due to the HTML code, but I think it will definitely be interesting!
