This is the table I created using John Keller’s Motivational Categories of the ARCS Model. I generated process questions and then I also came up with a questionnaire for students to take prior to the lesson to identify prior knowledge and learning capabilities.
We were also asked this week to create a prerequisite map that would enable us to think of questions to ask on the questionnaire.
The Information Processing map allows us to visualize the actual steps and procedures needed to be completed to finish the task we are asking students to do.
The assignments this week were challenging but definitely got me thinking about all of the details that go into the designing of a lesson/unit for an Instructional Designer.
